Thank you Heather for a great comment! I agree birds are fascinating creatures. Harry the Heron was unfortunately fed by humans too much which was easier than fishing for himself. Once Deng the fisherman was no longer in the picture, Harry had to fend for himself again which was more natural. Thanks again for the L/F/C/Tw! ~Jeff at JSJ Photography

This is so precious Jeff and it made me smile so big :) I bet you Harry the Heron is a way better fisherman :) Years ago we had a great blue heron at a park here every summer. I was fascinated by him, how close one could get. I would watch him sharpen his beak on rocks, catch chipmunks and dragonflies to eat them, but I think the most fascinating thing about him was that he owned that park and pond. Once there was a cormorant in his pond that caught a big catfish, Mr Heron did NOT like that. He made that cronking sound and flew to the middle of the lake where that cormorant was and stayed there for quite some time. Birds are the most fascinating and beautiful creatures ♥ L/F/Tw

Jeff, lovely capture. Did you hang around long enough to see which of these two caught the most fish? I'll put my money on Harry. v

Thanks for the comment and vote Geoff! Deng from Vietnam was quite a successful fisherman--we haven't seen him since he left for shrimping season last year to be a deckhand. Harry has "moved on" to steal fish from the fishermen on Navarre Pier. Harry got all the small fish, so in total quantity I'd have to agree with your assessment! ~Jeff
