The moon and a mountainous landscape peak illuminated at sunset over the LeMaire Channel and Argentine Islands in the Wilhelm Archipelago, Antarctica late in the evening of 3 FEB 2020. The sunset was scheduled for 2215L or 10:15 pm after 17 hours 34 minutes of daylight with sunrise at 0441 or 4:41 am. The moon rise and set provided only 6 hours of 69% moon illumination from 1735 to 2337 or 5:35 pm to 11:37 pm. The moon was very low on the horizon every night in Antarctica, and the moon was visible much less than the 6 hours between moonrise and moonset times due to the mountainous terrain along the LeMaire Channel, which provided moon views for less than an hour.
